Storage Unit Movers

A big portion of our moves involve hauling to or from storage units. Whether you’re moving items into storage, pulling them out for a house or apartment move, or just relocating a few key pieces, we do this kind of work every week. We don’t offer storage units ourselves, but we’re pros at getting your stuff there—or back—quickly and safely.
From climate-controlled facilities to outdoor drive-up units, we’ve seen it all and hauled it all. Tight hallways, elevators, long rows of units? No problem. If it needs to be moved, loaded, and transported without the drama, Flash Movers has your back ⚡📦

Storage moves are a little different
Moving items into or out of a storage unit isn’t the same as a house-to-house or apartment-to-apartment move. Storage moves require strategic loading so everything fits efficiently, stays protected, and remains accessible when you need it later.
Our team packs storage units with intention — heavier items first, furniture protected and stacked properly, and frequently needed items placed where they’re easy to reach. A well-packed unit saves space, prevents damage, and makes future moves faster. It’s not just moving — it’s smart packing.

🐾 1. Bigger Isn’t Always Better
Most people rent a storage unit that’s larger than they actually need. With proper stacking, padding, and weight distribution, a professional crew can often fit everything into a smaller unit — saving you money every single month.
(We’ve packed hundreds of units… space adds up fast when it’s done right.)

🐾 2. Heavy Items Go First — Always
Placing heavy furniture incorrectly can crush boxes, shift loads, and damage items over time. We load storage units from the ground up, using furniture as structural support instead of a risk.
(This is one of the biggest mistakes we fix when unloading DIY units.)

🐾 3. Climate Control Actually Matters
Electronics, mattresses, couches, and wood furniture don’t love heat and humidity. If you’re storing items longer than a few weeks, climate-controlled units can prevent warping, mold, and musty smells.
(We’ve opened units months later and seen the difference firsthand.)

🐾 4. Access Matters More Than You Think
People often bury items they need later. We load storage units with future access in mind, keeping frequently needed items reachable instead of sealed behind a wall of boxes.
(Because yes — you will need something sooner than you think.)

🐾 5. Professional Packing Saves More Than Time
The right padding, wrapping, and positioning prevents damage that can cost far more than the move itself. A professional crew doesn’t just move items — we protect them for the long haul.
(That experience is what turns “stuff in storage” into “stuff in perfect condition.”)

Like most service industries, tipping is never required, but it’s always appreciated when our crew does a great job. If you feel your movers went above and beyond, a gratuity is a nice way to say thank you.
Most customers who choose to tip usually leave around 10%–15% of the final bill, but the amount is completely up to you. If your movers truly knocked it out of the park, you’re welcome to leave more. And if you didn’t feel the service met your expectations, there’s no obligation to tip at all.
